Who funds ClimateHero.org and how much?

ClimateHero carbon calculator is run by a private Swedish impact-startup (Climate Hero AB, founded in 2018 by me and my wife) [climatehero.org]. It is not financed by any big corporation, government, or political group. In fact, our company has not taken any external investment or grants, we are funded by our own revenues where we help Households and Companies to Calculate (their carbon footprint) Commit (to reduce it with curated actions) and Contribute ( to scale up climate friendly solutions). To give a sense of scale (since you asked “how much”): ClimateHero’s latest annual report shows on the order of  11 million SEK in 2024, which is roughly 1 MUSD). This isn’t a huge sum; it basically covers running the website, improving the calculator, and other operational costs. So, in summary, ClimateHero is self-funded by a small team of environmentally conscious entrepreneurs and the community of users – there’s no big outside donor or hidden agenda behind it.
